Biography

Tom Hill is the managing partner of McLain, Hill, Rugg & Associates, Inc. with oversight responsibilities of all five offices located in Southeastern Ohio. Tom’s home office is New Lexington where he joined the firm in 1972 and was admitted as partner in 1975.

With over 40 years of public accounting experience, Tom provides valuable expertise and vast experience in the ever changing accounting world. He is a resource for the firm and his clients with regards to tax preparation and planning, audit and attestation services and business consulting. Tom is very diverse in his industry expertise servicing small businesses, construction, oil & gas, manufacturing, non-profit organizations, benefit plans, and the list goes on.

As managing partner, Tom oversees the Peer Review program with the implementation of the Accounting and Auditing quality control programs and Tax quality control program. Tom has conducted various presentations and guest speaking engagements throughout the course of his career, ranging from taxation issues to estate and succession planning.

Tom is a member of North Valley Bank Board of Directors, Finance Committee of Holy Trinity Church, and Finance Committee of Cradle of Faith at St. Joseph’s Church. He is also former Chairman of Board of Trustees of Hocking College and former member of Finance committee of Holy Trinity chruch. Tom is also a long-standing member of the Ohio Oil and Gas Association, Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Tom resides in Somerset, with his wife Mary Ann. They have five grown children and twelve grandchildren. His interests outside of the office include spending time with family, golfing, fishing, and collecting antiques.
