Our firm's practice is highly diversified in that it serves numerous clients in each of the following categories: oil and gas industry, coal industry, real estate industry, wholesalers, retailers, manufacturers, professionals, farmers, and governmental agencies. The firm provides numerous services including, but not limited to, accounting services, individual and corporate tax planning as well as the actual return preparation, estate tax planning, auditing and management advisory services.

In the fall of 2010, the firm successfully completed its tenth independent peer review of its accounting and auditing practice. The reviewers concluded that the firm complies with the stringent quality control standards set by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the national professional organization of CPAs.

Peer reviews are required for membership in AICPA's Division for CPA Firms. The division is a voluntary self-regulatory organization of firms established to foster quality performance. The peer review was conducted by a team of CPAs from other parts of the country appointed by the AICPA under guidelines established by the AICPA.

In evaluating the firm's quality controls, a peer reviewer considers, among other things, what the firm has done to ensure that it hires only qualified people, that it properly supervises them and provides them with professional training, that it advances them to responsibilities they are capable of handling, and that it provides them with necessary technical resources.

Our firm has a total staff of thirty-two (32) and offers excellent opportunities to accountants in developing their professional and personal goals. The staff consists of twenty (20) Certified Public Accountants, plus twelve (12) experienced professional support personnel. A great deal of emphasis is placed on qualifying new accountants for the practice, including passing the CPA exam. All CPAs and professional staff attend annual training programs to keep abreast of the many changes in accounting and auditing pronouncements and new tax laws. Our firm consistently has and will continue to spend whatever time and money is necessary to keep current with all laws and regulations pertaining to taxes (federal and state) and accounting and auditing pronouncements and procedures.
